There are a couple of reasons why a user may be unable to log into HRLocker. Please check these if you or an employee cannot log in, and if you still have difficulties, please contact HRLocker support

USERNAME OR PASSWORD IS WRONG, OR ACCOUNT IS DISABLED/LOCKED OUT​

The email address or password may be incorrect. If someone forgets their password or enters it incorrectly too often, it will lock their account. The account can easily be unlocked by requesting a new password by pressing 'forgot password' on the login page or going to https://login.hrlocker.com/Account/ForgotPassword

The email should arrive within a few minutes, please check all your email folders for 'systems@hrlocker.com' as it might have been received in a junk folder. If the email is not received then it may be that the email address does not match an active account on HRLocker. Check the email address is typed correctly and matches the email in the users summary page.

It is important to only paste in the exact text of the temporary password and do not include spaces before or after the text. The user will then be asked to change their password, on this form, the 'old' password is the temporary password they just received.

​EMAIL ADDRESS IS TYPED IN WRONG OR INCLUDES A SPACE

If the user gets an error 'Sorry but this must be a valid email address' check that the email address is typed in correct, and make sure to delete any spaces that may be present before or after the email address.

TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES ARE BLOCKING LOG IN

If the user gets an error message when trying to log in, this can be a HTTP 500 error, a white screen, a timeout, or an unexpected error message. there may be temporary internet files stored on the users browser which can prevent the site from loading correctly. The easiest way to check for this is to open HRLocker in an 'incognito' or 'private' browser window and log in from there.

If you can log in successfully, then you should clear the temporary internet files from your browser and this will allow full access to HRLocker.

CHECK IF THE BROWSER IS LOGGING YOU INTO THE 'HTTPS' URL

If you receive an error like the above, where it cannot reach the site or it takes too long and times out, your browser may not be directing HRLocker to the secure URL. Some proxy internet settings can prevent the site from redirecting to our HTTPS site rather than the HTTP url. If a user gets an error that they cannot contact the site, they should try logging in using the link https://login.hrlocker.com/Account/SignIn

Other common causes of login issues are:

The users account may be inactive, there may be an end date in their terms of employment page, or their start date may be in the future. If these dates, are ammended and their status is set to active then the user should be able to log in to HRLocker.
